Custom orders require much more time to design, create, and build. Please plan ahead as lead times may be from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the job and time of year. We like to involve the customer in the creative process but some people prefer to give a general description of what they would like and let our creative license take over. Both are fine but we prefer your involvement in creating that special customized gift to make the piece truly yours! We encourage you to share sketches, colors, or vibes—we'll collaborate via email or video calls.

Many of our handmade leather goods can have custom embroidery or custom monograms. The type and 'weight' of the leather determines exactly what we can accomplish directly on the chosen material. If the leather weight is too heavy in a custom leather piece for custom embroidery, many times we can blend canvas into the design for a completely unique and bespoke product that tells your story and emanates your vibe!

Materials and Options

Different materials allow for different types of customization. Here's what we typically recommend:

They can be a blend of veg tanned, oil tanned, or chrome tanned leather with waxed canvas accents having a custom monogram. Blending these materials can produce a totally stunning customized piece! Our busiest times are prior to major holidays. Many people start months ahead planning the perfect gift for the special people in their lives. Due to order volume we may close orders for custom leather goods and/or we may limit custom embroidery, custom monogram services, or other customized gifts.

Have a question about placing a custom order? Here are some of the most common ones we hear. If yours isn't answered here, drop us a note on our contacts page and we will respond, usually the same day.

How much do custom orders cost?

The classic answer is "It depends"! That is why we don't offer a 'standard' custom order price. Tooling, embroidery, and/or monogramming can be much different. A simple monogram with one or two letters on an existing piece for sale on our website may increase the cost of the item by $20-$50. If the customization requires tooling, this is done on high quality veg-tanned leather. Typically, a veg-tanned piece, ready for sale on our site cannot be customized with tooling. These pieces already have had finishes applied to the surface. Tooling occurs prior to the finishing process.

Can I see a digital proof?

Yes, certainly! We can send you images before production to make sure we are 'spot on'!

What file types do you prefer for logos or artwork?

Common vector file formats (.ai, .svg, etc) work really well for this and can save time during the design phase. Raster graphics such as .png, .jpg or .pdf can provide a good starting point for digitization! The clearer and crisper the image, the better!

How can I be sure your timeline fits my needs?

What if I need multiple items or bulk?

Do you offer fully custom leather designs?
